Hello! So happy you're here!

My name is Monette (say the t but the e at the end is silent). Now that the name thing is out of the way, here's a little bit more about myself:

I am endlessly curious about anything that has to do with making things. As a child, I needed to know how wind-up toys worked. I'm drawn to how-to books and articles if it meant learning how to make that stuffed doll or how to make a miniature chest of drawers with matchboxes.

Doodles on notebook pages? Check.

Trying to change a doll's hair color with paint? Check.

Learned how to sew, knit, and crochet from my grandmother.

Painted with acrylics, watercolor, oils, and even the occasional inks.

Taught myself how to use digital tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and later on, Procreate and Affinity.

And finally, here's what helps me to keep going (aside from my husband who also keeps me grounded) no matter the challenges that come my way: my faith. It's been quite a ride these past years and always, holding fast and believing has gotten me through.
